Making Postsecondary Education
Possible In Illinois
For 50 years, Dollars for Scholars has been helping students in communities across America pursue postsecondary education. From Maine to California, more than 40,000 dedicated volunteers devote their time and energy to raising funds, supporting students and making a real difference in the lives of those in their community.
As a part of Scholarship America, the nation’s largest non-profit, private-sector scholarship organization, our job is to help our chapters, our volunteers and our students. We'd invite you to take a look around the site to find out what's new, what's available, and what we can do for you. In addition, we'd love to hear from you – just click here to give us a call or e-mail.
Illinois Dollars for Scholars is thankful for the generous support of founding sponsor Nicor Gas, which has helped make Illinois Dollars for Scholars the fastest growing region in the nation.
We are in this together. Educational dreams become a unifying vision of hope and promise. Now you can foster a culture of learning in your community. Now you can gain access to this important and intricate web of educational support by affiliating with Illinois Dollars for Scholars.
Providing Hope in Chicago
The Chicago HOPE Dollars for Scholars chapter started just a few years ago, and they've already done a great deal for students. In addition to renewable scholarships, the chapter's board members provide mentoring for students throughout college. Check out this new video from the chapter to meet some of them.
